What to do when the white marks increase
The white marks increasing in size are inevitable at some point in your vitiligo journey. As investigators it is paramount you are able to deal with the matter appropriately and that it does not impact your investigation efforts. Here we discuss some points to consider when it happens.
1. Maintain calm: You already knew this was a possibility. The white marks can only do one of three things (increase, decrease or stay the same) therefore there is no reason to panic or lose track of the bigger picture. At this point the connection between vitiligo and oxidative stress is so obvious that it is another reason to prioritize poise and peace instead of pessimism and panic.
2. Maintain determination to secure health: It is not the time to rethink everything and reconsider if you want to continue trying to investigate your vitiligo. Rather it is a status report of your current situation. There may be some things that need adjusting. Course correction is not a crime and encouraged even during moments of positive progress. Scan your mental , physical , emotional and spiritual habits. Find clues to the cause of the white marks growth and be open minded and precise with what it could be.
3. Feel an abundance of life: The most common feeling after witnessing new patches emerge on the skin is that sense of limitation and frustration. A connection is made between the increase of white marks and a decrease in the possibility of living the life you want. This is why it is important to wholeheartedly reject the idea of lack and go deeper on the abundance side when it happens. Feel limitless. Take actions that will cause the subconscious to doubt what it is used to thinking the white marks imply.
4. Note down everything: IVIA program members are already trained in methodical note taking methods in order to ensure what we put in our database is credible. In cases of white marks increases we once again lean on our detail-oriented approach. Write down everything, any potential change of diet, lifestyle or habit that you feel may or may not have contributed to the increase.
5. Celebrate the situation: Congratulations. More white marks mean you now have more surface area on your skin to investigate your vitiligo. Use this responsibility wisely. Who knows, maybe something you will discover will help the future generations of people with vitiligo.
There is no reason to suggest what has been done cannot be undone. The question is how exactly are you going to do it? What is the strategy?
