The vitiligo database is the pride of our investigation efforts. It is the central location where our investigators contribute data, information, knowledge, wisdom and insights on vitiligo. We accept credible information without any dogma or agendas with our only intention being that it will help us better understand vitiligo.  

Naturally this asset needs to be protected at all costs and one of our main protection mechanisms is not to accept sponsorships or collaborations directly to the database. This allows us to ensure nobody can influence the breakthroughs we make or indirectly try to manipulate the data.  

Another reason for keeping the data private is that sometimes data points to controversial and not widely accepted conclusions about vitiligo that could be dangerous and misleading if openly shared without context of understanding. We are not trying to cause discomfort or controversy and this is why breakthroughs will only be publicly shared when we have overwhelming evidence to support our claims. 

It is our hope that the vitiligo database will make a massive contribution to vitiligo investigation.
