The Vitiligo Education Collection
The Vitiligo Education Collection is our sincerest attempt to create educational materials that go much deeper than the typical surface level information we usually find.
The reason for this is that firstly it is not possible to be a competent investigator if you don't have a strong grasp of vitiligo from various perspectives. The depth of understanding is what will enable you to “connect the dots” and bring new possibilities to the table
Additionally for people who have vitiligo it is a great tragedy that the majority do not have a clear idea about the very condition that has had such a huge impact on their lives.
We work with real doctors, dermatologists, teachers and various other professionals from ALL areas of study to bring together the collective knowledge humanity has on vitiligo.
The collection is the most scientific part of our operation, and we understand and accept the responsibility to be cautious with who we allow to be part of the library.
The Vitiligo Education Collection is available for both investigators and people with vitiligo.
It is your invitation to an education on vitiligo investigation.
Our current collection includes but is not limited to:
Vitiligo Systems A
Vitiligo systems B
Melanogenesis
Vitamin systems
Mineral systems
There are no shortcuts in vitiligo education. We start from the beginning giving a clear foundational understanding of all 11 systems in the human body (immune, lymphatic, integumentary, endocrine, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, skeletal, digestive, urinary) and exploring the potential links to vitiligo.
After completing the series, you will be able to clearly explain what each system is made up of and what it does. Additionally, you will be conscious of any link to each system and vitiligo.
Contents:
Introduction/why study vitiligo
The vitiligo immune system
The vitiligo lymphatic system
The vitiligo integumentary system
The vitiligo endocrine system
The vitiligo nervous system (Dr Blanca M. Fernández Bellón)
The continuation of Vitiligo systems A. we explore the remaining systems with the same detail and focus on connections with vitiligo. Once again working with real doctors and professionals to develop, design and deliver the information. At this point the value of knowing the systems will be clear and you are encouraged to start exploring the status of each system in relation to your own body.
Contents:
1. The vitiligo circulatory system
2. The vitiligo respiratory system
3. The vitiligo reproductive system
4. The vitiligo skeletal system
5. The vitiligo digestive system
6. The vitiligo urinary system
Now we go deep. What is the exact process for creating melanin in the body? what is the exact sequence of steps and what is needed for it to take place error free. This series attempts to answer the question and try to help create the visual/mental framework for the person with vitiligo to understand what exactly goes wrong in the process with vitiligo.
After completing this series you will feel a new sense of hope realising that there is so much study and experimentation that you can do that you did not know you could do.
Contents:
1. Intro : Why even try to study this?
2. Signalling
3. Synthesis
4. Maturation
5. Vitiligo Variations
6. Vocabulary
People say that Vitiligo could be caused by vitamin deficiencies but what exactly is a vitamin? and what does each vitamin do in the body? Is there anything unique going on with vitamins and vitiligo? this series aims to explore these questions.
After completing this serious you will have a more then acceptable knowledge of each vitamin and its function. additionally you will have a clear concept of how each vitamin relates to Vitiligo.
Contents:
1. What are vitamins exactly?
2. Vitiligo Vitamins C, B3, B5
3. Vitiligo Vitamins B9, B7, B2
4. Vitiligo Vitamins B6, B1, B12
5. Putting it all together
Similar to Vitamins, No real depth of understanding is possible without a basic competency of knowledge of the minerals. Mineral deficiencies are equally attributed to vitiligo in some schools of thought and it is the sign of a good investigator to know what every mineral is, what it does. and how it potentially impacts vitiligo.
The completion of this series will enable you to easily name the minerals, their functions and sources.
Contents:
1. Intro : This one is massive.
2. Macros a: Potassium, Sodium, Chloride
3. Macros b: Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus
4. Trace a: Zinc, Iron, Fluoride, Manganese, Copper
5. Trace b: Iodine, selenium, Molybdenum, Chromium, Cobalt
6. Closing. I Repeat. This one is Massive.
